Basic Roasted Pecans

Makes 2 pints

Ingredients

  • 4 cups pecan halves
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp salt

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 325°F.
  2. Spread pecans evenly in one layer on a heavy baking sheet.
  3. Bake for 30 minutes.
  4. Add butter and stir to coat the pecans evenly. Bake for an additional 15 minutes.
  5. Sprinkle with salt, stir again, and bake until golden brown, about 15–20 minutes more.
  6. Remove from oven and cool completely before storing in airtight containers.

Variations

Be creative! Try adding herbs, spices, oils, or other condiments when roasting to create unique flavors.
